SGW Exhibits Green STEAM Display at the Newton Free Library on July 18

STEAM Green STEAM Team (some!) NOT RESIZED

Students For a Greener World Wild Boars & interns staffed Green Newton’s G-STEAM Team at the STEAM Expo on Saturday, July 18, from 1-4pm at the Newton Free Library. (G-STEAM stands for Green STEAM.)  We had the Magic Energy Bike, caterpillars, recycled/enviro-art activity and info for all ages!

The 2nd Annual STEAM Expo was sponsored by the Newton Free Library, as part of their ongoing programming for all ages related to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics). This year’s event was even bigger than last year’s, with an estimated 1,000 people attending! The Expo is a gathering of tech enthusiasts, traditional crafters, artists, musicians, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers and students. Come experience a fun, interactive afternoon at the library, and get involved in the rebirth of Do-It-Yourself.  The Expo featured 17 exhibitors and hands-on workshops both inside and outside the library so all could discover their\r inner Scientist, Techie, Engineer, Artist, or Mathematician!
